Thick fleece w/quilted material in sleeves.
XL fits 165# male
5'7" in Height.
If not needed extra room, I think a lg would have been sufficient for his size. This review is after being washed and dried.
Hope this helps others.
Stylish and feels very comfortable. The only weird thing was there is a waistband drawstring that is odd looking and not very useful. Super easy to cut it off so that’s what I did. Maybe you’d find a good use for it.
Overall would recommend and would buy again
This seems well made and like it will hold up despite working and frequent washings.
Other than the weird fit, it's such a nice shirt. The Sherpa lining keeps my son warm when he's working outside, and he really liked the color and plaid. The seams also have held up well, and he likes the snaps.
The jacket is not to light, as far as the lining goes, but the sleeves and pockets are a little thin. I have tried on the jacket, and as I was not sure about the fit or size chart being correct, so, I ordered an XL. The XL is a little too large, if the jacket shrinks some, then it will fit good, so the size chart looks to be close, I am 5'8" at 190.
The jacket feels comfortable and the price is reasonable. Some chilly weather is coming up so I can try it out to see how warm it will actually be.
After I wear it a few times, I will wash it and see if it shrinks and the quality changes. So, for now, this is my review and I will update after I wear and wash it a few times.
Update-
So I have washed this and it did shrink a little bit, like I wanted and the fit is much better. The bottom of the coat/jacket curled a little bit bit but was easily fixed.
Weather-
I wore this in 9° weather and was quite surprised how warm it kept me, with just a polo underneath. I would recommend this for short periods outdoors in that type of weather for maybe a couple hours.
the pockets are big enough to fit your hands in, the coat/jacket is a snap to close, but I prefer a zipper. The two front chest pockets, for scale, are a little bigger than a cigarette pack.
Great jacket-- it fits perfectly, it looks great on him, and it's warm. Recommended.
It fit him big. From the belly it was good because he has belly, but from the arms and shoulders it looked bad, too loose, and he has big arms.
This jacket is for someone tall and with huge arms.
Also the color is nothing like the photo, the black looks gray. Unless we were sent the wrong one.
The quality is good, very soft and cozzy. Good for the cold. The arms are lined with a thick material. Like most sherpa jackets, although this one is not sherpa but something less thick.
Agrrar jacket.
I really like the fleece body with the smooth sleeves.
Highly recommended.
-Definitely a jacket, not a work shirt
-After/while being washed, the inner lining (certainly doesn't feel like sherpa!) started shedding. The rest of the clothes in that laundry load have fuzzies from this jacket.
- Cleaning instructions say you can machine wash cold, tumble dry low - but after washing according to the instructions, the lining and outer materials seem to have shrunk at different rates, making the jacket pucker at all the connecting edges. (Still fits a little large but not by much)
The materials feel cheap/synthetic. The jacket says it's machine washable and tumble dry, but after washing and drying it with a load of darks, my other clothes are covered in fuzzies from the inner material. Also, the inner material seems to have shrunk whereas the outer did not, so the seams are puckering. I did follow the wash and dry directions.
The jackef is definitely still usable, but not something I'm going to enjoy wearing like I had hoped, and I would pass on ordering it again.
I needed something to replace my old jacket and I'm a little picky when it comes to how a jacket looks, feels and -- especially -- fits on me. So far, this Coevals Club men's jacket has exceeded in all of those areas.
First off, the fit: It's great. I'm a pretty big guy and thus it can be fairly difficult to find coats, jackets or clothes to fit me well. However, this jacket slipped on perfectly.
As for quality? That's pretty great too, so far. The quilted lining is very nice and comfortable. The outer stitching and buttons are well made and the look is great. This is also a fairly warm jacket for the size. I believe this will get me through another Ohio winter with no problems.
Overall, I really can't complain -- and I like to, believe me. I just can't find much to complain about here with this jacket. I think it's definitely worth the price and I was not disappointed. Great find.
Taking it off after wearing it for a while, you realize that this is no lightweight jacket. It has some heft to it.
The outer fabric is nice and not too stiff and holds its shape well. The lining is a bit coarse but warm and blocks out drafts. The snaps don’t release too easily and fasten well.
For being outdoor and wanting to block the cold, it does the job very well. A little softer lining would be nice but maybe a few more washes will fix that.
IMPROVEMENTS
The only thing, and this is minor, is that the pockets are lower than usual for a men’s jacket. If you like to walk around with your hands in your pocket your arms will hang lower than you think they should. I have seen women’s jackets with the pockets lower which I think is more usual on their clothing. Perhaps the manufacturer wanted to make this appeal to both men and women. I wish they had placed them a little higher. They also don’t have any way of closing them if you like to carry your phone there.
YES OR NO
Definitely yes, it is rare to find a jacket of this quality for this price, which was just under sixty bucks when I got it. If they raise it higher I might think twice about it.
All the seams are well finished and the fleece does not seem inclined to pull loose from the weave.
This is a well-made, good-looking casual coat for cold weather!
This jacket is amazing but it's huge unfortunately. Other than that I will simy exchange for a different size
Its super soft and cozy. Might want to get one size up if its going to be a jacket for you this way you have room for your shirt under it. This has snaps instead of buttons which is great, faster to put on and off.
The one reason i didn't give this 5 stars is that i wish it had side pockets too. Being its a shirt/jacket combo it in my opinion should have had side pockets.
Sleeve length is great, color is soft, sherpa is also soft and plush. this will keep you real warm without being bulky.
